Now onto the face….
1. Foundation:
Foundation is the first thing you want to use. It will even out your skin tone and give you a flawless base.
Apply foundation to your jawline first, as this is where redness typically shows itself as a result of shaving. After that, apply it all over your face, making sure to blend well with a sponge or your fingers.

If you want even more coverage, use concealer on trouble areas after the foundation has dried completely (typically the under eye and on the sides of your nose). I find that concealer is necessary if you’re covering a beard, but not necessarily for peach fuzz.
Sometimes it’s okay to use powder on top of the foundation if you have very oily skin or look for a more matte appearance. Just apply with a powder brush, and be sure to set your t-zone.
2. Concealer:
Concealer is used to hide those pesky peach fuzz hairs as well as any red spots, scars, or blemishes you may have.
Using a concealer brush (these can be found pretty easily at any local drugstore), apply the product under your eyes and on blemishes using small, dabbing motions. I like to use my finger for larger areas such as red spots or scars.
If you have a red spot that won’t go away, apply a dot of concealer directly over it and then use your finger to pat the area until it blends in. If you need more coverage after that, repeat.
3. Blush:
Blush is a great way to add colour and life to your face, not to mention it gives you an innocent look!
I recommend using a blush brush for this step (also found at the drugstore). Take the colour directly from the pan and blend it onto your cheekbones using a circular motion.
If you want to use contouring, go ahead! Try browns and roses for more natural results, but use bronzes and oranges if you’d like to go for an exotic look.
4. Highlighter:
This is the step that gives your face the “glow” effect. It’s also one of my favourite steps!
Again, I recommend using a larger blush brush for this step because it gives you more control over where to place the colour. Simply take your highlighter and put dots along your cheekbones, moving under your eyes chin if you want.

Also, don’t be afraid to apply highlights to other parts of your face that reflect light. Apply it to your nose, forehead, and cupid’s bow for a very natural look!
5. Eyeshadow:
Eyeshadow can be used to either highlight or shadow your face, depending on the colours you choose.
For lighter skin tones, I recommend using a slightly darker colour than your natural skin tone and applying it along where the “apples” of your cheeks are.
For darker tones, you can use a colour that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone to highlight those areas as well as your browbones.
6. Eyeliner:
Eyeliner can be used in many different ways, but here’s what I like to do with mine:
For lighter skin tones, use a black or dark brown pencil and apply it along the top lash line of each eye only.
Use a pencil of the same colour for darker skin tones but apply it on the top and bottom lashline.
7. Mascara:
We all know that mascara is the secret to beautiful eyes, so here’s how I usually do mine!
I recommend applying two coats of either waterproof or non-waterproof mascara, depending on your preference. Be sure you swoop up slightly at the end for more volume.
8. Lip colour:
This is the final step and, in my opinion, the most fun!
I recommend using a soft pink or peach colour for lighter skin tones to make your lips pop.

For darker skin tones: Try a red or brown shade.
There you have it! Have fun experimenting with different techniques, and enjoy your look!
9. Lip gloss:
This is really what makes the look complete, in my opinion. Just be sure to use a clear lip gloss, or else your lips may end up looking too dark.
10. Finishing touch:
If you want to add any final touches, wear earrings or a necklace. The good thing about doing your makeup is that you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
